The home becomes yours

After the timeline found its rhythm, the wider home page was pared back and warmed up. The opening copy became simpler, extra space at the top was removed, and the timeline was allowed to sit confidently above the surrounding shell. A subtle paper grain gave the surfaces some material warmth without asking for attention, while the navigation stopped behaving like a fixed piece of furniture and began to move naturally with the page.

Most importantly, changing the room’s atmosphere became immediate and visual. A home theme gallery made it easier to see a palette before choosing it, then the controls became quieter again so the page—not the settings—remained the focus. The result was a home page that could hold both the practical library and the more personal act of finding a background, color, and tone that made someone want to stay and write.

This phase completed the feel of the home. The next work focused on what happened after an article was opened: how Letters could be kept close, how reading could flow, and how the transition into a piece could feel less like leaving the room.
