Writing finds its timeline

With the basic room in place, Letters began to treat a library as a body of work rather than a flat pile of files. The home page introduced a timeline, giving each piece a visible place in time and making it easier to return to something written last week, last month, or at the beginning of an idea. The page also became more open about what it could hold, so new writers could see the possibilities without having to discover everything by trial and error.

The writing flow grew more welcoming too. Pasted Markdown could arrive as real headings, lists, and quotations instead of a wall of symbols. A runway and changing prompts gave a gentle nudge when the blank page felt too large, while the first historical refinements made the timeline easier to scan and more faithful to when things were actually written.

This was the moment Letters shifted from being only a good place to make one article into a place where a continuing practice could be seen. That sense of continuity set up the next phase: giving the room, the timeline, and the page a shared atmosphere.
